talking to patients with alzheimer's???+ a bit deaf..

I gotta clerk patients.. yeah.. n it's respiratory week.. well.. I dun mind talking to patients, but it would b better if they could answer my questions.. I need the answers to present their history!!!

Well this old lady, lying on da bed looked a bit distress n pale..otherwise fine.. ya... that's the patient i'm clerking..

" Hi, mrs.X.. can we have a chat wit u??" I said..
" what????? I CANT HEAR U.."

Gosh.. gotta repeat.. again n again.. the finally said ok.. no prob..

So.. her it goes..

" Mrs.X, can u tell us what brought u into the hospital?" ---standard question to start with..

" erm.. erm..."

After a minute.. she said.." I dont noe.. erm erm.. I live down the street.. juz by da corner.. do u noe bristol??"

" Yes, we do, we study there.." ( we are at a completely different place.. Weston which is an hour away..)

" I live in bristol.. yeah yeah.."

" so do you noe y u are here??"

" erm .. erm... i fainted that day.. i live juz down da road.. i live in bristol.. i used to live in Weston.. It's a very nice place.. Do u noe weston??"

" Yes, we do.. it's a really nice place.."

" Yaya.. I lived in Uppingham.. It's a very nice place.. I lived with this guy.. he has got 2 cute boys.. n i like them alot.. "

" U mentioned u lived in Uppingham.. wut was ur job then??" ( we were trying to noe whether she was previously exposed to any form of pollutant tat might damage her lungs..)

" well, I live wit this man.. he's got 2 boys.. they are sooo cute.. I like them a lot.. we live in a small house in Uppingham.. Do u noe Uppingham? It's a very nice village.."

" No, we dunno about uppingham, so wut have u been doin in uppingham? wut do u work as?"

" erm.. erm..." (long pause..) I tot she cant hear me tat's y.. so i repeated my question..

" do u noe what happened to u when.." I haven even finished my sentence and she interrupted..

" I'm thinking!!... erm erm.. i live in bristol juz down da road.. n i used to live in weston.."

Yeah.. it went on n on.. until her ex-husband came to visit her..

so i said to the man.. like.. sorry.. we are 2nd year medic... bla bla bla.. chatting wit her.. bla bla bla n that old lady suddenly said.." he's deaf!! He cant hear u..!!He's very deaf.."

n i suddenly felt weird coz i've been speaking to some1 hu cant hear me.. gosh.. then the man told the lady.. " Oh, U still remember tat i'm deaf.."

Ok.. so he can hear.. ( he's wearing hearing aids..) n then oni he told us that she's got alzheimer's...
Haiz.. we wouldnt have spoken to her if we've noted about it earlier.. so at the end we've got nothing out of her.. except that she's living in bristol n used to live in uppingham.. AND she's got alzheimers..

I hate my house in UK......

It has been 2 months since i came back to tis bloody place.. I moved out of halls and I'm staying in a private flat.. 355 pounds per month.. and yet.. there's soooooooo much problems with tis stupid flat..

!st.. the heater.. when we 1st moved in the heater is not working.. so we called da agency to get it settled.. n it was sorted quite easily.. but.. now.. the boiler is not working.. there's steaming hot water at da 1st 3 seconds and it goes off..torturous!!! again.. we called them up and they sent some1 over on da next week.. so imagine us bathing with cold water everyday.. i hate hate hate it.. then eventually they came.. tried to fix it.. but failed.. he said he need to ask another man to come over and have a look.. so the other man came da next day.. and he still cant sort it out.. so he said he THINKS there's a prob. with 1 of the expensive spare parts and will come back in a day or 2.. and he did.. n finally out boiler is fixed.. and now.. no heater!!!!!!!!! ANNOYING!!! we cant get both boiler n heater i dunno y.....?? then we called them up n they fixed it.. but.. no hot water again.. as expected.. and on the day when the boiler guy came.. miraculously, everything worked perfectly fine.. we have hot water n heater.. Y?????? i have n idea.. but we are happy to get both.. so it doesnt matter.. But.. da prob. is.. our hot water goes hot n cold n hot n cold... but we din call them up again.. we are affraid if our heater stopped working again.. so till now.. we've been surviving without constant hot water!!!!!!!!!!! haiz..... i dunno how are we going to go thru winter.... gosh.. save me..

now da internet... supposingly we will get da internet 3 weeks after subscription.. but.. we din.. up till now(since late september).. we din.... we hav been trying to ring da customer survice soooo many times.. n i've already spent more than 30pounds juz to call them.. n we've visited da store for 4times juz to settle da prob.. n its never settled..

I HATE TIS HOUSE...of coz not da housemates...haiz.....

ok..Finally..I manage 2 make myself right sumtin.. But, I haven tot of anything to rite.. So, I decided to follow as Misaa always does.. NEVER THINK B4 DOING SUMTIN.. Tat's how she completed most of her assignments I guess.. Tis post is gonna b random... But, no choice as have nothing 2 share about..I have already been like a dead person for weeks, aimless.. Coz I dun hav 2 study, no 1 will force me 2 study and there's no exam!! so no worries at all.. everyday, TV.. SLEEEP.... EAT... occasionally MEET FRENS.. tat's all..sien..

My CNY..

It's new year eve and I performed gu zheng accompanied with some dance ler.. It was some kind of exhibition with i hav no idea wut izzit.. Juz blur.
I was asked by the Chinese society to perform. So, i agreed.

But i hated it ler.. coz that AJKs of the society did nothing. Basically threw averything towards da editorial board which I'm da sub-editor..apparently..
They simply did nothing..
N we hav 2 think of wut to perform, how 2 use up da 20mins on stage..bla bla bla.
So, da editor n I planned da whole thing.. n da dancers are our journalist. The MC is our fren in my hall..(guai lou ler..)..
They ask me 2 perform gu zheng, but ask me 2 sendiri carry it back 2 my hall from da president's place, which again, da editorial team worked together and send it to my place..it's like 20mins of uphill..Gosh..every1 on da street look at us with curiosity as if we are carrying a coffin..haha..
N they din tell me wut 2 play, so we hav 2 work out ourselves. no score, no nothing..
In the end, the editorial team decided 2 play Xiao Cheng Gu Shi Duo, so I made up da score myself ler..Haha..then I recorded it n send it to my 2 journalist,i.e dancers 2 create sum dance. C? this is call team work. And i'm making use of da technology..for once..
then we wrote da MC script, translation for the 3 character classic (san zi jing) which is one of our performance. We spent lots of time on da whole thing, and luckily, it turned out not bad.
Besides we get paid for it. Though its not much about 7 pounds but at least, i got my 1st ang pau ler..
Then da secretary brought us out for lunch.. well at least she did sumtin..

After da lunch, I went and meet Jayvene and Zhen Shan at da church for sum CNY thingy..But, its over d when reached, so, we went out 4 tea..coz Jayvene haven't had anything. Then, I go back home and dinner again.. The guys in my hall had already cooked waiting 2 serve me with da so called tuan yuan fan..
But, say da truth..their cooking sucks..haha..shh..
Basically, my CNY is juz sad lar.. eat eat n eat..

Japan trip!

Haha..as u guys noe, I was in Japan over the holidays with my parents, my younger brother n aso my cousins n their paernts. Imagine me bringing books to Japan which I certainly did not study. Well to be precise, I did, a page of my biochemistry. It's a great achievement though. My initial plan was to ditch da whole idea of goin to Japan and be a good girl in Bristol, studying. But, due to my cute little brother who bagged me to go with him, to keep him accompanied, so I went.

The world is so small. I met my fren from Catholic High in da trip. Jon Yee.. u noe? from 5SF. It was so awkward when we were in da same trip but we never talk until da last day, at da airport, he approached me n we chatted a while. N da worse thing is that our parents talk but not us, haiz..sad har?

Well, I visited many places in Hokkaido, Japan. It was freesing cold there, always negative, but I loved it coz it was snowing every day. Imagine having Christmas when it is snowing. Wow.. It just feels so good. Don't be jealous.=P

In the first 3 days, we were staying in a hotel with natural hot spring. It was so syiok being in da hot water and some has jacuzzi as well. syiok syiok syiok! But, da oni thing is dat i gotta go naked, seriously NAKED! not even your undergarments. I guess it's cleaner? On the first day, I went alone as my mum said she din want to go naked. So, it was fine as there's no one in da hot spring hu knows me. We also have to bathe before goin into the hot spring, naked as well. Awkward huh? But, being in da hot steaming water just felt good and relaxing. On da second day, my mum went with me at 5 am in the morning ( it's open 24 hours) as she claims that there would be less people at the hot spring. This time I really feel odd.. Being naked in front of my mum and seeing her naked?? Wow.. OMG! Don't u guys even dare to imagine that. But, we tried our best not to look at each other. So, we ended up in da jacuzzi so that the bubbles could help our 'stuff' or 'assets' to remain unseen. Smart huh?

There was once when we were at the morning market, where they sell fresh seafood, there's a booth selling squirts, ie SOTONG! N da fun part was that u could fish up ur own sotong. N guess wut. I did!! I paid like 2000yen, about RM80 for that. Then, they cut the squirt while it's alive. Gosh, u should c it, c how fast they can kill da sotong, it's disgusting, n u'll have to put da wriggling living sotong parts into ur mouth. If u dun think about the process of the squirt being murdered, it's delicious, but if u do think about it, er...dun do tat pls.

N we also went to this place with lots of bears. just like those in Brother Bear. =P
They are so gigantic. We bought some apples and throw it towards them to feed them. N these beasts actually understand human beings. If u raise the apple high up and if da bear spotted ur apple, it will stand up and wave both its hands towards u, that's when u are ready to throw it n they are ready to catch da apple using their mouth. I was so amazing!!

Skiing!!! which was wut i wanted to do the most. But, unfortunately, i wasn't allowed to ski as my father is afraid that I would encounter any accidents which would affect my journey back to the UK. So, no skiing. But, I was given a board which i could slide down from the top by sitting on it. It was terrible. Not fun at all..but in ther end, we figured out sumtin better, more fun. we started to scoop ice using the board n throwing each other. it was freezing out there but I never regret being freezed as there was so much fun.=P

The food there was not bad, esp those that we bought on da street or in da markets which we could eat on the spot. For example, grilled scallop, freshly grilled..Hmm..Yummy!!
Ice-cream..esp the lavender ice-cream, it's sumtin that u cannot get in M'sia. I noe it's cold there but eating ice-cream wouldn't make any difference since you are already freezing.=P Many many more. N their sashimi..wow.. unexpectedly fresh n delicious. Oh n misaa.. m'sia's sushi is better. I dun think u can get sushi with da red octopus..=p N the 'pregnant fish'..erm..that's how i call it, 'da du yu'.. it's so expensive in M'sia but u can get it everyday, unlimited supply of those n i love it!! i better stop talking about food, I'm afraid u cannot control ur salivary glands..=P

But, shopping isn't good there. Everything is super expensive there. So, no christmas shopping for me lor.

Lastly, time to face da reality, get back to m'sia, pack n go back to the UK the next morning, n be prepared for the exams. N i had da worse week ever, juz studying, n i never leave a step out of my hall for 5 continous days juz to study. Haiz. but, now it's over n my next exam would b april..
I'm so glad.
